Countdown To Registration
From Application to Airport

The Application | A step by step guide once registration opens

WHERE DO I APPLY?

Primary Application – On February 1st at 10 am ET, our website will show a REGISTER NOW button on the home page. This will direct you to the Birthright Israel homepage where you will complete your primary application. This is also where you will be prompted to pay your US$250 deposit (in Section 7).

WHAT DOES THE “PRE-REGISTER NOW” BUTTON ON THE HOMEPAGE MEAN?

You are now able to PRE-REGISTER by going on our homepage and clicking on PRE-REGISTER NOW.

Please Note: this will not guarantee you a spot for our upcoming trips, this is only a pre-registration form. In order to be considered eligible for our winter trips, on September 8th, you must complete the application its entirety, including paying your US$250 deposit.

As part of your primary application, you will be asked to choose a trip option.  You can preview the trip options we will offer by going to the “Trip Options” tab.

WILL I NEED TO SUBMIT ANY FORMS?

Our secondary application system (Step 2) will prompt you to upload your picture, your passport and important medical information. The secondary application will be available to you within 5-7 days of registering.

If accepted to a trip, please complete a Doctor’s Medical Form.

If accepted to a trip and traveling to Toronto (round trip) via air, or train or bus, please complete a Travel Reimbursement Form.

Click here to access the Doctor’s Medical Form and the Travel Reimbursement Form.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO DO?

Yes – Within 5-7 days of your primary application, you will receive an email from Canada Israel Experience titled STEP 2. The email will have your log-in email for your Secondary application with Canada Israel Experience, where you will be able to upload your picture, upload your passport, request to travel with a friend, and more.

A valid passport is one that expires a minimum of 6 months after your return date (for example, if you return from Israel on January 15, 2016, your passport must expire no earlier than July 15, 2016).  This is non-negotiable and is an airline policy, not a Canada Israel Experience policy. Please ensure that your passport is in good condition.  Worn or torn pages can result in any airline refusing to accept a passport for travel.

WILL I NEED TO BE INTERVIEWED?

Yes, we want to get to know you. Once you complete your primary application and pay your US$250 deposit, you will be contacted by phone or email for your mandatory face-to-face interview. Every Birthright Israel: Canada Israel Experience applicant must successfully complete an interview in order to be considered for a trip. Please visit our Contact page to get in touch with your local Israel Experience professional to arrange your mandatory interview.

HOW WILL I BE CHOSEN?

For all applicants, new and past, the selection process will be based on a LOTTERY SYSTEM! What does this mean?

This means you have 24 hours from February 1st at 10am ET to fully register in order to be considered into our Lottery System!

For example, if you apply on February 1st at 10:30 am ET you will be considered EQUALLY with someone who applies at 11:00 pm on the same day.  In order to be entered into our Lottery System, you must have a completed online application, including a paid $250US* deposit.

Past applicants will receive priority status when registering for our trips. Please also note that a certain percentage of the allocated spaces are distributed on a discretionary basis. For more details on this, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions page.

*All deposits are subject to a $10 non-refundable handling fee by Payoneer, Inc.
